KIRKUS REVIEW

Addition to Young America's Aviation Library and once again a successful exposition of an intricate subject, this time the clarification of the complicated mechanism of an airplane engine. Despite the title, there is comparatively little in the test that deals with the external structure of the plane. The emphasis is definitely on the fuel system, the cooling system, lubrication, types of engines, propeller, instruments, including the gyro compass and the automatic pilot, the internal control of landing gear, radio, etc.
