YOU CAN WIN by Norman V. Peale

Again the modern assurance school -- (see Lupton report) but this time written by a Methodist, who for all his modernity believes that the power to win comes not through the human Jesus but the Risen Christ, whose touch has still its ancient power. Again everyone is quoted, Freud, Shaw, William James, Service, Goethe; there are illustrations and stories galore. A book for all who form the market for Vash Young, Link and Carnegie, who want religion plus their own bootstraps for boosters, and who are not Unitarians. Be very careful not to confuse these two books so similar in subject and title and make clear to your customers the difference is in theological treatment.
