KIRKUS REVIEW

Dr. Peale's rendition of the Nativity ought to have a market value that can be judged by the extent of the popularity of his adult books and articles. It is a gently modernized retelling, one that uses a casual rather than a stiff, biblical phrasing and has emphasis on the Holy Family as real people one might know next door. A definite awe and wonderment of the events that occurred in Bethlehem emerges too.
