Possibly adults with a yen for the obscurities of modern art will agree with Alice Hughes' comment:- ""Her books have collector's value."" -- I don't believe that will recommend this one to the children, for whom, presumably, it is intended. The text is fantastic and involved -- the round of the clock brings a new adventure for every hour, with Booth, the shadow, sharing all the daytime fun. The average small girl would demand ""What's it all about?
