KIRKUS REVIEW

A slightly more delicate aroma here- than in Luchow's German Cookbook (P.543), this rather complete collection of Austrian dishes- from suppes to sauces demands a fairly experienced cook and an expansive purse. Dumplings, egg dishes, meatless dishes, one pot meals provide a variation on the more substantial meals which follow through to all kinds of pastries, meringues, pancakes, ice creams, etc. A savory collation- for finer taste buds rather than budding cooks.
