CUSTARD THE DRAGON AND THE WICKED KNIGHT

No biasing, fiery dragon of old, Custard was a calm and lovable coward, who bore the jeers of Belinda's other household pets without an ounce of malice. Yet like so many self designated fraidy cots, he rises admirably to fulfill the best of his ""dragonhood"" ancestry in a in crisis. Sir Garagoyle, the wicked knight, attacks and absconds with Belinda, chaining her to his dark underground cave. Those braggarts, Mustard, Ink and Blink, hide in terror and Custard brings Belinda happily back to the fold. The verse is a delight; the illustrations especially those of Belinda, might have been ""zingier"".
