This author/illustrator's The Don't Be Scared Book (1964) and One Is No Fun But Twenty Is Plenty (1965) were pointedly, practically silly, while this one is just random foolish. The clinky versification of the first two is used here at greater, sometimes unwieldy, length to describe Willy's busy activities. ""I'll tell you what I'm running for;/I've got to help a dinosaur,"" Willy explains as he hurries off to his first errand. Later he helps a giant and then a damsel (Margery from next door) also in distress. The format and illustrations are similar to the earlier books; their appeal wears thin here.
