WIND BEFORE THE DAWN: DAUGHTERS OF VALOR series

Cased on the life of a real person, this is the story about Katherine Hustin, a Mormon, who participated in the difficult journey to Salt Lake City. A witness to the events preceding the move--persecution, the order that the Mormons be expelled from Nauvoo, the murder or Joseph Smith and the dissension surrounding the choosing of the next leader -- she had other, more personal problems to, face as well. Although she was only 14 when the journey began, she had to take over when both her parents died and assumed the care of three small children. The brave and capable young girl is convincingly portrayed on this dramatic recreation of the ordeals endured by the Mormons.
