KIRKUS REVIEW

Unfortunately, our report (p. 685) of The Miracle Dish erred. This diminutive and delightful story appears for the first time -- it is not a reissue.... Determined to procure a beautiful dish for her mother's Christmas present, the elfin heroine so charmingly depicted in Floyd I. Webb's sharp, frosty black and white drawings, thriftily acquires enough money to buy it. But she doesn't have enough money to ride home. How she brings her fragile present home safely through a raging blizzard makes an adventure story little girls should enjoy. The artist imbues the story with elegance, Victorian fragility, daintiness and a sense of winter loveliness. Strongly stitched.
