Many people have already heard this Oscar Brand pioneering song that builds up into a cumulative Old MacDonald-style chorus of mixed blessings -- ""Called my duck 'Out of Luck,'"" ""Called my cow 'No Milk Now,' "" ""Called my horse 'Tired of Course' "" and so on. In cold print the addition of a wife (""Love of My Life"") and a son (""My Work's Done"") at the end of this list of possessions is a little jarring, but Doris Bum sets an appropriately easy joshing mood in sepia-toned drawings whose rustic good humor is reminiscent of Robert McCloskey. A trusty group participation number -- nostalgic and bouncy.
