THE KID FROM MARS

Pub Date: Sept. 26th, 1949
Publisher: Frederick Fell

A lighter-than-air time-passer having to do with the arrival from Mars of Llamkin, assigned to bring back information on humor to save his dying race. His spaceship is hunted by traitors; he is believed to be a part of a publicity stunt; he creates scenes in a night club, in a court; he falls in love with a screen star; and, unable to convince anyone that he is a Martian, kidnaps the President of the United States, a sports reporter, rival industrialists, and a cinemactress. Back on Mars, savants examine them and find laughter when they realize Llamkin has fallen in love with an earth woman. As a product of science- fiction this is not as worthy of the new status as others.
