KIRKUS REVIEW

The Story of Legal Gambling in Nevada"" is again a spirited account of speculative enterprise (The Big Four, The Silver Kings) if of more specialized interest. For Nevada's gambling, which was sparked into activity by the gold rush, is a big business and you can choose your game and play it around the clock. Poker, faro, roulette, monte, fantan, slot machines, bingo, 21, the odds and the percentages of each; Reno and its famous, Harolds Club- the poor man's Monte Carlo; Las Vegas and its ""Rue de la Pay""; legislation and licensing; even divorce- are all appraised for the customer with sporting blood and itching palm.
