KIRKUS REVIEW

Christmas is the time to tell The Happy Prince. It has a concern with the spirit of service and giving which is reasonable to the season. It has a little match girl that it is perfectly all right to choke up over at Christmastime and it tells of times so hard that it can make you feel, at whatever age or condition, that things are better now. It is one of Wilde's best loved stories, now available as a separate item. The full color art work has that soft swirly stroke that is most often encountered in the Ladies' Home Journal next to fiction with a heart, which is to say that it is richly colored and eye filling.
