KIRKUS REVIEW

An entertainment- of Chinese Tseng Tai, a girl with a will and a way- as she browbeats and blackmails her brother Fung into taking command of his father's trading junks, forms a fleet of pirate ships which terrorize the waters and bring disgrace to her fond father. And when Fung, a coward at heart, fails to intimidate Colin MacDonald, Engineer of a trading ship, it is Tseng who goes aboard his boat, beguiles and deceives him, and ends by holding up and looting his Pung Ha. But it is Colin who finally succeeds in taking her prisoner and who achieves her total surrender when he makes love to her, and although he returns her to her father- it is not for long... A mockery which is facile, impudent and modestly amusing.
