POST-WAR WORLDS by P. E. Corbett

POST-WAR WORLDS

By

Publisher: Farrar & Rinehart

This has a rather text-booky feel, and I can't see it as a book for the general public, much as that general public would like an unravelling of the various plans afoot for the post-war world. The author examines the breakdown of the League of Nations, he summarizes the basic elements of the various proposals, the problems involved in any set-up of a supernational organization. He sketches the essential agencies -- shows the weakness in the failure to consider the Far Eastern situation. He appraises the plans of Streit, Staley, Curtis, Meade, Hitchcock, Bonn. And he advocates a World Commonwealth for joint administration of those interests transcending national and regional problems.
