KIRKUS REVIEW

Fifth in a series on the Great Issues of Life edited by Rufus M. Jones. Professor Hopwood upholds the high standard set in the previous volumes and builds up a logical case for faith starting with the criticism that we have created God by autosuggestion from a sense of need. If we have done that, he answers, so has the artist built his faith in Beauty, the chemist his in Science, etc. Sound reasoning, intelligent arguments and a firm faith provide excellent material.
