Short stories by an old, practiced, hand do repeat old themes but dress them freshly and fashionably. There's much gas and gaters over golf versus romance (whether the trouble lies in tennis, gold etiquette or manners to obnoxious in-laws-to-be, etc.), gentleman's debts and a garrulous Nannie, a poet and his favorite game, a vague and woollen headed peer a worthy female, anti-cricket feeling cementing an English-American match, and and on Batterel footballs of fate are assembled with assorted sters which will step your v Plenty of flirty, shirty tricks here in ten little fro.
