KIRKUS REVIEW

I loved this folk story which is in Padraic Colum's best tradition, a story that has the Irish wit and humor and sense of oneness of humans and animals. A delightful story of a group of birds and animals that wandered together into the land where ""the wind never blew and the cocks never crew"" -- and stayed there until the swan song drew them all away but the cat and the cricket and the old woman.
