THE DOLL IN THE WINDOW

A certain static charm characterizes Pamela Bianco's pastel colored pictures of dead pan little girl prototypes in this calm Christmas wish-come-true story. Seven year old Victoria loses her savings while out shopping for presents for her five younger sisters. But then a little boy with a kind heart, who's seen Victoria admiring a doll, buys her a present- which turns out to be six dolls built one inside the other- and turns a sorry time into a nice one- for youngsters who don't want their tea too strong.
