HORSESHOE HILL

More than just a horse oeuvre, this one's about Tibby, not only tall for her age but large, and miserable about moving to the country and a new school. Her family has problems of adjustment too: her father, a cabinet maker, is refused permission to use the old house on Horseshoe Hill for his` shop; then there's the horse Warlord, left behind by an old owner, to whom Tibby becomes increasingly attached. And before it's all over, Tibby finds ways, means and arguments to enable them all to stay at Horseshoe Hilland be accepted... Girls will like Tibby and find that the story moves along easily eventhough it's written with no particular distinction which could be called style.
