I've forgotten exactly what the statistics are on divorce, but I think it's something like 90% of all married people today will sooner or later hit the divorce courts. . . ."" The aplomb of Pamela Mason's uneducated guesswork is really more startling than anything else she has to say in her discussion of marriage--that most ""inconvenient and unnatural relationship"" which almost never works out, unless it might be in May and September affiliations. . . remember Charlie and ona Chaplin, and Bing and Kathy Crosby. In fact most of Mrs. Mason's sloppy homework has been done in Hollywood, and if you've thrown out your back issues of Screen World you may want a few dated patio and poolside confidences. Mrs. Mason survived two marriages (James, remember) or what A. P. Herbert called Holy Deadlock, after the orange blossoms fell on the crabgrass.
