The Divine Comedy, translated by Laurence Binyon, La Vita Nuova, translated by D. G. Rossetti, Rhymes, mostly translated by D. G. Rossetti, Latin Prose Works translated by Howell and Wicksteed, are preceded by an introduction by the editor, which gives a condensed biography of Dante, and synthesizes critical comment, while interpreting and explaining the inclusions. The first two works are complete, while the rest are selections. An excellent background and reference book in a valuable series.
