KIRKUS REVIEW

A selection from the stills of the picture now showing in various parts of the country, a picture which tells dramatically the story of the Mississippi and the part it plays in our national life. Closely tied up with problems of conservation, flood control, T V A and various government projects. Superb photography and a text that has distinction and originality and a saga quality. One could wish the reproduction had been a little sharper, but all in all, it is a fairly satisfactory whole.
