KIRKUS REVIEW

A novel of suspicion and suspense rather than detection this concentrates on an opportunist of a columnist and his need to kill one of the four women in his life. It is his first wife who realizes that his dinner party has a lethal intent, tries to protect his second wife, his mistress and then the young girl he has decided to marry. Through flashbacks his sordid careed is revealed -- and the climax offers doubleplay retribution. Good fill in of details and character for sure-fire situations. Crime Club.
