M AND M AND THE BAD NEWS BABIES

Ross' series friends Mandy and Mimi are fixing up an old fish tank and wishing they had money for fish when a neighbor drops off her twins Richie and Benjie. She'll pay the little girls to babysit while she dashes to the store, and Mandy, thinking of the fish, agrees. To keep the twins out of trouble Mimi proposes a four-way bottle-sucking contest--but the babies finish first and wander off. ""We're out of practice,"" the girls conclude, and fear the worst. But the babies are only admiring the fish tank. ""What do you know,"" says Mimi. ""I guess these babies are not such bad news after all."" From there it's just a baby step to the fish store and two new fish, named Richie and Benjie. It's so cute you can't help groaning. Hafner as always gives M and M's baby-sitting worries the easy recognition value that keeps the series going.
