THE BEST FLAYS OF 1909 - 19

By

Pub Date: Feb. 9th, 1943
Publisher: Dodd, Mead

This was originally published in 1933 and has been out of print for several years. The decade covered is that one which preceded the first of the annual volumes, and Mantle has presented the outstanding successes in condensed form, as in the later volumes. Ultimately, he plans to issue a companion volume covering 1899-1909. This reissued volume contains The Easiest Way, Mrs, Bumpstead-Leigh, Disraeli, Romance, Seven Keys to Baldpate, On Trial, The Unchastened Woman, Good Gracious Annabel, Why Marry? and John Ferguson. A useful book for the little theatre groups which are now--for the period of the war, doing group reading instead of acting.
