Nightmares are plaguing all of Witchville and to combat them Dorrie's mother mixes a potion for use at a public conjuring where the benign dreamwitch will be summoned. But Big Witch goes off with a bottle of vanilla instead of the potion, and once more Dorrie rushes to the rescue, overcoming en route the usual blitz of unlikely complications--among them a host of fuzzy pink monsters who look more like soft-shag bathroom rugs than the nightmares they are. Taming the monsters with a love potion, Dorrie keeps the smallest for a pet--a cuddly development in keeping with the pink that colors this whole adventure. But Dorrie's followers aren't looking for real nightmares anyway, and they'll be gratified as always to see the little witch best her eiders and save the day for witchville.
