KIRKUS REVIEW

The literary mice this fall are unusually personable, and this Field Mouse is no exception. Apodemus the Field Mouse was looking for a home, but before he finally was established, he had a wonderful adventure with human Giants -- in a pocket, a schoolroom, an automobile and other terrifying places. At last the Giants (whom Apodemus believes he has tamed) build him a house, and Apodemus is a social lion, explaining to the other animals the techniques of taming Giants.
