DESIGN WITH FLOWERS.....UNLIMITED

Unlimited, that is, if the designer knows the fundamentals, and takes pains to study the specific problems of flower arrangement and design. Miss Kroh is well-known as a lecturer and teacher -- and as a consistent winner in competitive design. She presents the underlying theory, the practical applications, in a text which the novice can study and profit by. The elements of Form, Pattern, Line, Texture and Color are used in relation to the receptacles, the materials one works with, and the relation to the purpose of the arrangement and the place where it is to be used. A valuable section, enlivened with some practical hints, is that dealing with equipment; another, with conditioning material. Those who go in extensively for flower show or garden club competition will find some of the advice in this field exceedingly valuable.
