KIRKUS REVIEW

The sale of this ties in with the general picture on The Turf-Cutter's Donkey and The Donkey Goes Visiting. Miss Lynch has a faculty for combining fantasy with adventure, so that one takes it in one's stride. Little Miheal, who is trying to help his widow mother make a living for them both, is the center of all sorts of adventures, which involve the lost valley, where ghosts of Ireland's past dwell, changelings, tinkers, etc.
