Carol, an attractive air hostess for one of the big lines pulling into Le Guardia, is restless and unhappy with so many of her friends going into war service or suddenly getting married. Fortunately her boss sensing this, sends her off to another job to start a hostess service for an expanding line in Texas. Her trials in training recruits, settling details of uniforms, supervising morals, working out details of time schedules and the planning of passengers' food, all make fascinating reading. As the planes run to meet other lines coming up from Central America there is added interest when Carol visits some of our Latin neighbors. The relationships with her superiors, her staff, her beaux and other friends are so natural that this book stands out as a most excellent picture of girls today in their very early twenties.
