TRUE OR FALSE?

An unabashedly pedagogical undertaking, with clear, well-planned (for utility), but generally unexciting black-and-white photos in which readers will find the T/F solutions to such statements as ""Holly-Jo and Dana seem to be good friends"" (they're holding hands and smiling fondly), ""Here is a father with his son"" (no--dog and child), and ""There are two pigeons and one turtle in this picture"" (just the reverse). In one (""There are eight faces on this page""--true), a smiling Gene Shalit is seen again in each eyeglass lens and yet again in five cutouts lined up along his knuckle. More like that one would have made for a livelier head start.
