MEXICAN ROAD RACE by Patrick O'Connor

This story of a boy, two girls and a racing car has sure appeal for the motor-minded teen ager. Woody Hartford, a young racing car enthusiast, is at odds with his fiancee, Mary Jane. She is jealous of his interest in the Black Tiger, a new racing car, and feuds with Rocky, daughter of the manufacturer of the Black Tiger. How Woody wins the Mexican Road Race driving the Black Tiger and settles the feud between the girls is exciting and informative reading. There are several awkwardly interjected very mildly objectionable phrases, but our criticism is one of taste more than of moral considerations.
