KIRKUS REVIEW

Lloyd Nicholson is the most disadvantaged of international counterspies. He has only one leg and absolutely no official status. His organization is Counterstroke, privately run, top secret Communist watchers. They count on him for everything, even skiing on one leg in Vermont to whence has leapt the ballerina daughter of a Soviet politician. The run leads back to the fleshpots of N.Y. City and Nicholson stumps along with the same Bond-ed virility and bright chat he showed in Double Defector and Counterstrike.
