RED FOX AND THE HUNGRY TIGER

By

Publisher: Scott

A red fox tricks a voracious tiger out of devouring him by proving his own ""ferocity"". With the tiger in tow, red fox stalks the jungle, terrorizing every animal en route. Thoroughly convinced, the tiger abandons his prey while the fox and his friends have a hearty laugh. ""If a tiger's wit were half as sharp as his claws, oh, my!"", they ponder. How did red fox accomplish this feat? Robert Kraus leads the reader to the answer in beguiling and dramatic poses of tiger and fox. The text never spells it out, thus allowing the youngster to solve the riddle for himself. An utterly delightful folk tale discovered in Korea by the author.
