BLACK AND WHITE by Paul Brown

BLACK AND WHITE

By

Pub Date: Aug. 8th, 1939
Publisher: Scribner

To keep the goodness of a first drawing, the author describes, and encourages, the over lay method of obtaining a perfect final result. This eliminates erasures and new starts, and is useful in all fields of drawing. He gives elementary information for action pictures, the use of diagonals and ovals in developing your sketch and is full of good working suggestions. An interesting variation on orthodox precepts, and should be of interest to art classes and teachers, as well as the artists themselves, for the author has authority behind him.
