KIRKUS REVIEW

An adroitly planned -- and skilfully executed -- anthology for younger children, to proceeds This Singing World. Plenty of very first rhymes, as teasers -- nursery jingles, counting rhymes, game verses -- the full text, where most of us know only first verses and chorus. Old material and new. And then, tucked in, all sorts of delightful poetry which leads the child up and up. Excellent format -- pictures by Reginald Birch -- good type-margins -- layout.
