LET'S HEAR IT FOR THE LONG-LEGGED WOMEN

Paul Du Feu is a Working Class Hero whose biggest claim to fame is that for a while he was married to Germaine Greet, which may or may not be a fit occupation for a W.C.H. He tells us that she was neither the first nor the last woman in his life and that he loved them bravely and joyfully: the book is in praise of them all. Well, as a token of remembrance, the Taj Mahal it ain't. Du Feu tells us how he almost operated a brothel once, and almost smuggled hashish -- he's for anything that kicks ""every lousy system in the arse."" His revelations concerning his sex life are not quite intimate enough to be embarrassing or arousing. He was acquainted with some of London's low life including Profumo pimp Stephen Ward if you bother to remember smut that far back. He makes them seem rather a dull lot. Possibly the author may be just colorful enough to have a few pints with in some dimly-lit bar and his story is not entirely charmless. Having known the illustrious Germaine, someone evidently told him to cash in on it -- even though this has nothing much to do with Women's Lib pro or con. Someone was mistaken.
