THE ANTIOCH REVIEW ANTHOLOGY

This collection of essays, fiction, poetry and reviews from The Antioch Review selects the best published from 1941 to the present and is presented in celebration of Antioch's hundredth anniversary. The tone here is naturally liberal and humanistic, as is the Review and, although all its editors are members of the Antioch faculty, its editorial policy is independent of the college policy. On the whole the essays show the widest range, a few being brilliant, others very dull. The poetry is distinctly mediocre and the short stories only fair; the general atmosphere is scholarly and fair-minded. Not for a large public, its appeal will be for students, graduates and friends of Antioch and fellow colleges and college libraries.
