KIRKUS REVIEW

The use of plants with gay colored leaves has extended itself to homes and offices in recent years. The value in greenhouses dates far back. But the use in gardens is largely limited to a few known varieties of hosta and begonia, sedum and saxifraga, sansevieria and myrtle and a few others. This book will be a valuable reference on the far wider range of available plants, where they will grow, what are the details of cultivation, propagation, etc. Numerous photographs- seven in color- add to the attractiveness of a book that in its arrangement- alphabetically- suggest a garden dictionary.
