KIRKUS REVIEW

A medley of intrigue, whimsy, and hot-water-haphazards by a very sure, and slick hand, set in the troubled Europe of today as Hiram makes his mark on the capitals of the continent. Hiram is a quiet, dumpy newspaper copy reader, totally unnoticeable but very noticing, with a deep love for gallantry and adventure. How this ""verray parfit gentil knight"" saves a princess of a little European kingdom time and again, baffles Nazi pursuants, catches Russian spys, and makes multiple daring escapes is entertaining, and occasionally curdling reading.
