WE CALL IT HUMAN NATURE

By

Publisher: Harper

This book is an attempt to describe and explain psychology for the layman, by picture, diagram and text. Reflexes and their mechanisms, drives, competition and maternal feeling, conditioning, suggestion, the brain at work, remembering, forgetting, heredity and environment, neuroses, psychoses and psychoanalysis. I should imagine that the beginner would find it a good opening wedge, whereas the student of psychology would rather explain existing things by psychology, than hunt facts to illustrate the theories. The picture and diagram method is Grabbe's; the psychological material is drawn from Gardner Murphy's A Briefer General Psychology.
