A demonic twist to the general herbarium of teas, tonics, lotions, emetics, perfumes and fleabanes made of comfrey, hysop, lovage, motherwort, pennyroyal, rue, tansy, yarrow by the author of Mastering Witchcraft. The section on cooking is dispensable -- who needs another recipe for chili, garlic bread, vinaigrette or rice pudding? But Huson also offers aphrodisiacs, love charms, lucky herbs, spells and conjurations, hallucinogenic and narcotic mixtures, herbs for exorcism, to neutralize hexes and for amulets, and elixirs of life. There's advice on talking to your herbs, a section on astrological influences and an appendix on planting and harvesting by the moon. Even if you're not an aspiring occultist, the lore from old manuscripts (including a recipe for ""A Salve to Enable One to See the Fairies"") is amusing. Light reading.
