KIRKUS REVIEW

The cameo brooch is the best known specimen of the art, but Mr. Jokelson has assembled some 150 photographs (many in color) of specimens gracing decanters, paper weights, plates, scent bottles, pendants and bas-reliefs. His text is a bit stilted, but not fatally, and certainly his account is thorough. Biographies of medalists and subjects place art in its historical context.
