KIRKUS REVIEW

Though its primary sale will be in the religious field, these personal experiences of a Catholic priest, pioneer in Arctic flying, form good reading for anyone. His journeys visiting missionaries working in icy solitude, making mercy trips for the sick, finding unexpected chances to save lives, covering unchartered portions of the Canadian Arctic, all interwoven with stories of courage, background material on the Eskimo, tales of storm, danger, tragedy and present-day, practical religion. A good book for a double sale, whether the accent be on spiritual aid or arctic adventure.
