A CHILD'S BOOK OF THINGS

Clean, crisp, cheery illustrations of objects in a preschooler's everyday world, with the setting (peopled with humans) given in a corner of each double spread and the relevant, labeled items neatly arranged against the remaining white space. A welcome alternative to Richard Scarry's books and their clumsily drawn animal characters.
