BERTRAM'S TRIP TO THE NORTH POLE

Another in the Bertram series, and apparently these are nonsense tales that have a definite audience among the young fry (though I acknowledge myself among those adults who think them silly). And I imagine some parents may find that the gorging on sweets permitted so gaily in the story is an example they'd rather not have set. However -- here goes. This time Bertram and his pals go to the land of the Eskimos, taking the cat, acquiring a tame whale, a trained puffin and a revivified mammoth. They make friends with their hosts, have games, discover gold et al.
