LOVE, POWER, AND JUSTICE by Paul Tillich

LOVE, POWER, AND JUSTICE

By

Pub Date: March 25th, 1954
Publisher: Oxford

The reader of this book will soon find himself beyond his depth unless he is accustomed to dealing with philosophical concepts. For Tillich immediately plunges deep into ontology in his search for the true meaning of these words and the relationship of the three concepts of love, power and justice to one another. Having found their common root in the nature of being itself, he discusses their implications and applications in personal and group relations. This is a book which requires close reading, but inasmuch as Professor Tillich is one of our outstanding religious thinkers anyone who wants to become acquainted with the intellectual base of much of our current theological discussion should be familiar with this book.
