GROW YOUR OWN VEGETABLES

A new edition with an exceedingly useful addition in a section on a 20-minute a day garden, through which Albert C. Burrage, of Ipswich, Massachusetts, supplied adequate vegetables for a family of four out of a plot, 25 x 50 feet. This is the sort of first aid that newcomers in the field need. Mr. Burrage has included a progressive series of photographs, from the bean poles to the plot prepared in November for the Winter, and among these photographs are some which show failures -- with notes explaining the whys and wherefores. Lists of what he grew, quantities, crop, charts of yields, all will prove valuable. Added to the excellent and practical Dempsey text reported last year (see P. 93) makes this revised edition virtually a new book.
