KIRKUS REVIEW

A bit on the tough side in Garry Dean, newspaperman and sleuth of Belle City, but he has what it takes to through plenty of trouble to solve the mystery of a hit and run death a silk stocking murder and a lot of phony alibis and false insurance claims. He gets in wrong with everyone, from the police and his own city editor, to the whose he is determined to uncover. But he wins through to a solution, and gets release for the falsely accused youth whose girl friend snared Dean's interest and insured his . Some underworld doings a bit of sex- and fast motion for a reasonably slick yarn.
